HVAC Installer

Location: Oshawa, ON / Durham Region / Project locations across Ontario Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Position Summary

Windfields Mechanical Group Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC Installers for the installation, maintenance, and service of industrial ductwork, welding fume extraction, and vehicle exhaust removal systems.

This opportunity is ideal for motivated, hands-on professionals who take pride in high-quality workmanship and are looking for long-term growth opportunities within a growing mechanical company.

While our primary operations are based in Durham Region, team members must be willing to travel to various project locations across Ontario as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install exhaust extraction equipment with associated ductwork
  • Install venting systems, duct pipe, exhaust systems, and ventilation equipment
  • Perform equipment start-up, testing, balancing, and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial ductwork, welding fume extraction, and vehicle exhaust removal systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturer specifications
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades on job sites
  • Ensure all installations meet safety, quality, and code requirements
  • Measure and order materials as required for projects
  • Handle logistics, procurement, tool rentals, and lift or crane scheduling when required
  • Work safely both independently and as part of a team
  • Complete installations in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, automotive shops, public works facilities, fire stations, dealerships, welding shops, and institutional buildings

Qualifications

  • 313A HVAC License preferred
  • Experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC installation
  • Knowledge of ventilation, exhaust extraction, and indoor air quality systems is a strong asset
  • Skilled in the use of HVAC tools, power tools, and installation equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Valid G-Class Driver’s License with clean abstract
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel and work across Ontario
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in demanding environments
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Elevated Platform, Working at Heights, WHMIS, and 4-Step Safety Training preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as required

Solutions Specialist

Location: Remote / Field-Based within Ontario Territory: GTA & Eastern Ontario, Western Ontario, or Northeastern Ontario Compensation: Commission-only Expected Annual Earnings: $75,000 – $110,000

Position Summary

Windfields Mechanical Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Solutions Specialist to join our growing team.

In this high-impact, field-based role, you will help customers assess their needs, recommend tailored technical solutions, demonstrate product capabilities, and guide clients through the full purchasing journey.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building strong relationships, conducting site visits, and delivering customized solutions within industrial and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work remotely and in the field within Ontario
  • Conduct regular site visits across the assigned territory
  • Prospect, generate, and develop new business opportunities
  • Generate new leads and manage follow-up on company-provided leads
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and technical solutions
  • Provide technical support to help ensure optimal system performance
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and presentations to customers, engineers, and key decision-makers
  • Prepare layouts, equipment sizing, and custom ventilation solutions
  • Review drawings, specifications, and budgets
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams
  • Produce Bill of Materials, estimates, and technical documentation
  • Ensure code and safety compliance
  • Close sales and build long-term customer relationships
  • Promote industrial ductwork, welding fume extraction, vehicle exhaust removal, and industrial ventilation systems
  • Represent Windfields Mechanical at tradeshows, lunch-and-learns, customer meetings, and industry events
  • Gather site and project information and coordinate pricing, proposals, and technical details with the Windfields Mechanical team
  • Support opportunities from initial contact through to close while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

Qualifications

  • Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in HVAC, mechanical, industrial, or related fields
  • Technical understanding of industrial ductwork, ventilation, exhaust extraction, and air quality systems
  • Mechanical, industrial, or related engineering background is welcome
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Previous experience in commercial and industrial ventilation, industrial ductwork, sheet metal, or a similar technical sales role
  • Understanding of welding fume extraction systems, vehicle exhaust removal systems, components, and their applications
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Computer and cell phone required
  • Reliable vehicle for site visits and events
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

Compensation

  • Commission-only role with no base salary or hourly wage
  • Expected annual earnings of $75,000 – $110,000, depending on individual sales performance
  • Commission paid on gross margin after client payment
  • Earnings depend entirely on sales results
  • Technical product training will be provided

Sheet Metal Apprentice / Journeyperson

Position Summary

Windfields Mechanical Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Installer / Sheet Metal Worker 308A to support installation, maintenance, and service projects involving industrial ductwork, welding fume extraction, and vehicle exhaust removal systems.

This opportunity is ideal for hands-on professionals who take pride in high-quality work and are looking for steady projects with long-term growth opportunities.

While our primary operations are based in Durham Region, team members must be willing to work at various project locations across Ontario as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install exhaust extraction equipment with associated ductwork
  • Install appliances, venting systems, duct pipe, and related components
  • Perform start-up, commissioning, and retrofitting of exhaust extraction systems
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards on site
  • Perform installation, repair, maintenance, and service of ductwork, welding fume extraction, and vehicle exhaust extraction systems
  • Install systems in fire stations, EMS facilities, public works facilities, welding shops, auto dealerships, service shops, and similar environments
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
  • Measure and order materials as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturer specifications
  • Handle logistics, procurement, tool rentals, and crane or lift scheduling
  • Work safely on job sites, both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Valid Sheet Metal Worker License 308A preferred
  • Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial projects
  • Experience with exhaust extraction, ventilation, and air quality systems is a strong asset
  • Reliable vehicle and valid G-Class driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Willingness to travel and work across Ontario
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle tools, equipment, and ductwork
